That figure represents a rise of 12,556 homes compared to 2022, up 5% annually and 16% since before the pandemic in 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latest government\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/commonslibrary.parliament.uk\/research-briefings\/sn03012\/\">Empty Housing<\/a> statistics, published in October 2023, estimate that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In October 2022, there were 676,304 recorded empty homes in England.
