All Locations See Vacancy Improvements according to a report from The Local Data Company.<\/p>\n

While in Q4 no shopping locations saw an increase in vacancy rates since the start of the pandemic, Q1 2022 saw a decrease in vacancy rates for each location.<\/p>\n

Retail Parks continue to record the strongest results, not only in terms of absolute levels of vacancies but also with the biggest decrease in rate from the previous quarter. Their GB vacancy rate fell by 0.7 percentage points from Q4, to 10.6%, remaining the shopping location with the lowest vacancy rate by some distance. Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an increase in the disparity between Retail Parks, however, as those endowed with a wider variety of stores and restaurants have been performing better, as consumers need to travel to fewer places to get all their shopping done.<\/p>\n

Shopping Centres continue to see far higher vacancy rates across Great Britain than any other location. Since the previous quarter, their vacancy rate decreased by only 0.1 percentage point, to 19.0% in Q1.<\/p>\n\"\"\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
