Clearway and Core Highways have agreed terms for a joint Memorandum of Understanding which will see the two companies work together on the development of new and existing traffic related products to keep operatives and road users safer – not just on their own works, but for the wider industry good.<\/p>\n

This follows a successful first project working together on National Highways\u2019 A38 scheme in Chudleigh, Devon*.<\/p>\n

Core Highways Group is a leading provider of traffic management and associated highway services which operates through industry respected brands such as Amberon, Forest Traffic Services, MLP Traffic, JTM Signs and Barrier Services.<\/p>\n

The Group provide a nationwide service founded on successful, well-established brands with the resources, expertise, and skills to undertake any scope of project – large or small – across high speed and low speed applications.<\/p>\n

Clearway have extensive experience utilising technology from within the security and asset protection sectors for over 30 years \u2013 protecting people, property and assets – with expertise in CCTV installation, monitoring and video analytics innovation underpinned by their state-of-the-art NSI Gold Monitoring Centre (ARC).<\/p>\n

With extensive experience in monitoring high value assets that require bespoke AI solutions, Clearway has seamlessly integrated itself into the highways sector and was recently appointed to the National Highways Smart Motorway Alliance, providing Stop Vehicle Detection solutions for temporary works.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the agreement, Simon White – Managing Director, Forest Traffic Services, was quoted as saying \u201cCore Highways Group is fully committed to improving on the already high levels of safety, customer care and delivery that our colleagues on the network work within.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued \u201cClearway has already deployed new innovations to the Group that, before now, were only ideas for us. With this agreement now signed, we are excited to begin working collaboratively with the objective of improving existing industry practices and to evolve new innovations based on our experience and Clearway\u2019s technological capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Clearway, Simon Waterfall, General Manager – Highways, continued \u201chaving worked out on the network myself throughout my career, I know only too well the hazards and situations that operatives face on each shift. In this role, with Clearway\u2019s investment in resource and capability growth, I am delighted to find myself able to improve safety for each of those men and women, aided by the vast experience of Core Highways Group.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Waterfall concluded by saying \u201cI attended the first meeting excited about the potential and what we may be able to achieve. When I left, it was with countless ideas, we can\u2019t wait to really get started.\u201d<\/p>\n

Further details of the innovations that the partnership intend to bring to the market will be announced in due course with planning meetings already underway and working groups set up to focus on specific areas.<\/p>\n
