{"id":929,"date":"2017-10-27T16:08:38","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T16:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clearway.co.uk\/?p=929"},"modified":"2023-10-05T09:04:21","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T09:04:21","slug":"300-million-odour-receptors-cant-be-wrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clearway.co.uk\/news\/300-million-odour-receptors-cant-be-wrong\/","title":{"rendered":"300 million odour receptors can\u2019t be wrong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A request for us to provide a drug-detection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearway.co.uk\/security-dog-units-and-patrols\/\" data-wpil=\"url\">dog unit<\/a> demonstrates how no two days are the same at Clearway.\u00a0Our client, a college, requested the sniffer dog to scout-out both the site and pupils in search of illegal substances and, in a single six-hour session, the dog found 15 separate indications of drugs on site.<\/p>\n<p>The dog started the morning by greeting pupils as they came in and then continued the day searching around the entire college. The dog sniffed out 3 or 4 finds as well as herb grinder in some bushes. One of the finds included specks of cannabis in someone\u2019s bag and again in someone\u2019s locker. Another strong indication as the dog continued to search the college was someone\u2019s jacket.<\/p>\n<p>Sniffer dogs have incredible sensitive sensitive odour receptors are in their noses \u2013 some 300 million compared to humans having around 30 million.
