Background
A large housing development site, with all its associated assets required securing in the Goole area of Yorkshire. The developer was working on a multiphased scheme to bring a high-quality new residential community of two, three and four bedroom homes to one of Yorkshire’s most up and coming towns.
Solution
Clearway commissioned the rapid deployment of a solar powered inView CCTV Tower mounted atop a telescopic 6m mast and armed with pan, tilt and zoom capability, to provide the fullest visual coverage of the compound. The site also benefited from out of hours remote monitoring, provided by our NSI Gold Cat II Alarm Receiving Centre.

The benefit of the inView CCTV Tower’s ability to be set to record 24/7/365 was demonstrated when a theft took place during working hours when contractors were still on site. A van parked in the site car park had been broken into and an item of machinery had been removed.
Operators at the alarm receiving centre were able to review recorded footage from the tower and observed a van parking further up the road from the compound. A male in high viz vest and hard hat was seen to enter the site and approach the side door of the van the equipment was stolen from.
He opened the door, removed an item of machinery and walked off site with the stolen item and drove away. Our recorded footage established exactly when, where and who committed the crime. The footage was downloaded and provided to the police.
