Key information
Scope of project:
Securing a vacant site
Area:
Norwich
Equipment:
Solar powered CCTV Towers with remote monitoring
Background
First Connect Fire & Security, a security systems installation and maintenance company, was responsible for securing a vacant site in Norwich. Already benefitting from a working relationship with Clearway, they requested our assistance to carry out a survey and recommend the most suitable and cost-effective security measures.
Solution
3 x inView solar-powered, mobile CCTV towers were rapidly deployed and installed to provide unbroken surveillance across the whole site without the need for mains power or phone line. The site now also benefitted from 24/7/365 Remote monitoring from our in-house NSI Gold Cat II Accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

Outcome
Activations were received from the CCTV towers on-site early one evening. Surveillance showed two masked individuals breaking into the property and climbing onto the roof. Operatives at our ARC swiftly contacted Norfolk Police who were despatched to site, the designated keyholder was also contacted and arrived at the building. Fifteen minutes after being contacted police officers were in attendance on site and twelve minutes later the individuals had been detained.

The client was extremely pleased with the effectiveness of the security solutions provided, Clearway’s rapid response and communication throughout the incident, and the desired outcome for all concerned.
