Clearway (previously Sitewatch) are no strangers to implementing cutting edge security solutions in a range of environments. One recent project saw the installation of wireless technology at a site that steeped in aviation history, RAF Bentley Priory.
The main public areas of the Officers’ Mess associated with Lord Dowding, Fighter Command and the Battle of Britain are to be developed into an education and heritage centre by the Bentley Priory Battle of Britain Trust to commemorate those who fought and died in the battle.
Clearway were approached to install cutting edge security systems at the Bentley Priory site. The project presented its own challenges. The install was a temporary one, for a three-year period, at the client’s request. On top of this, the site is Grade 1 listed meaning that no piece of equipment could be permanently fixed around the site’s buildings. Clearway always aim to be much more than just a “me too” service provider. The company’s services bring positive benefits to any operating environment by improving the setting for employees, owners, neighbours and visitors alike, whilst meeting the client’s requirements.
Clearway installed a roof-mounted wireless link, which monitors activities at the site these signals are then monitored by Bentley Priory’s own security team. The system incorporates discreet, black CCTV domes, alongside the wireless components. The system that was installed was fully designed by Clearway meeting all of Bentley Priory’s expectations and requirements.
